About
How BrokerDash started.
Built on the credit side of the desk, for the broker side.
BrokerDash started with a simple idea: give credit assessors more time to assess.
After more than a decade assessing home loan applications, leading credit teams and working with brokers and lenders, I'd seen how much time was consumed by the manual work surrounding a credit decision.
Reading bank statements line by line. Calculating income and expenses. Extracting and entering applicant information. Writing deferral emails and calling brokers to clarify discrepancies, request missing documents or explain what needed to happen next.
Too often, assessors were spending valuable time on work that wasn't actually assessing credit.
And on the other side of the desk, brokers juggling clients, lenders and deadlines were waiting on a decision, only to receive a deferral about something sitting somewhere in the documents.
Usually it wasn't anyone's fault. Brokers are time-poor, and a document pack can run to dozens of pages. The answer was often already in there; there just wasn't time to read every page and spot where the dots didn't join. And when the dots don't join, that's a deferral.
What began as an idea to reduce manual handling for credit teams grew into something with a much bigger opportunity.
What if the same insights could be available to the broker before the application was submitted?
Instead of waiting in a lender's assessment queue to discover an issue, brokers could review the supporting documents, identify potential discrepancies and ask their customers the right questions earlier.
They could clarify income, investigate transactions, address missing evidence and strengthen the submission before it reached credit.
And when that application arrived with the assessor, the supporting information would be clearer, the outstanding questions fewer, and the opportunity for a well-supported first-time decision greater.
That's what BrokerDash is being built to achieve.
Give brokers more control before submission.
Give assessors more time to assess.
Give customers a better experience.
Built from both sides of the conversation.
Having assessed lending applications, led credit teams and coached brokers and lenders, I've experienced how much of the lending process depends on the documents telling a clear story upfront.
A strong submission isn't simply a collection of documents or a set of numbers that add up.
It's about understanding the customer's circumstances, recognising what might need further explanation and making sure the information supports the application.
BrokerDash brings that credit assessment perspective into the broker's workflow.
It helps surface document-backed insights, potential inconsistencies and questions worth discussing with the customer, while the broker still has the opportunity to act.
BrokerDash doesn't make credit decisions, determine lender policy or replace professional judgement. The broker remains in control of the review and what happens next.
Less time chasing answers. More time helping customers. Better-supported submissions reaching credit.
